How can we help you? Please see if your question is answered below. If you would like more information we'd love to help. Contact us by phone or email or visit one of our stores.

Do you have a size guide? Yes we have a size guide for each brand. These are available on our size guide page

What height are your clothes designed for? Every brand at Redwood Clothing has been redesigned specifically for tall women. All our styles will generally fit women  5'9" / 175cm and taller. Our models are 6'1"/185cm and 6'2"/188cm.

Are you just making styles longer? No. We consider the proportions of taller women. We're doing more than just making legs and arms longer. We shift pockets, we lower darts in the back, we increase the hip rise on pants...all sorts of things to make clothes fit taller women.

How is LENGTH measured? A style's LENGTH, shown in the product description, is measured in inches and centimetres

Pants - inside leg length

Skirts - side length from top of the waist to the hem

Dresses - front length from the middle of the neck to the hem

Tops - front length from the middle of the neck to the hem

What sizes do you stock? We provide nicely shaped styles for taller women in the size 10-18 range. This is where we see there has been real shopping challenge for tall women. If you are a size 12, our clothes will have a size 12 bust, waist and hip measurement, but they will be longer in all the right places and just feel amazing.

Is Redwood Clothing sizing the same for each brand? Redwood Clothing is sourcing from a variety of brands and each brand has its own size guide for its grading and pattern block. Over time you will become more familiar with each brand and how it fits your body. Everyone is a little different...some women have long legs, some have long arms, some have both. Our intention is to provide great styles in standard sizes but lengthened in all the right places to make you feel comfortable.

Will you offer plus sizes above size 20? We will not be stocking above size 18. There are some excellent and well established stores around New Zealand and Australia already providing lots of options in larger sizes and we would be really happy to recommend them. Please ask.

Can I get Redwood Clothing styles from other stores that stock the same brands? No. The brands we stock are only available in taller sizes at Redwood Clothing...some brands may stock the same style in their own stores but their clothes are not specially made for tall women.

Redwood Clothing brands have made styles to suit taller women but getting the right size and fit still relies on simple body measurements of your bust, waist and hips. Here's how to take those measurements...

Bust Measure around the fullest part of your chest and across your underarms (take this measurement with your bra on).

Waist Find your waist by bending slightly then measure around that point.

Hips Place you feet together and measure the widest part of your body in the hip area.

Body length (upper) Measure from the side of your neck to the top of your inside leg.

Leg length While standing (without shoes on), measure from the top of the inside of your leg to the floor.

Dress/Coat length Measure from the side of your neck to the hemline.

Every item has its own care instructions. Please always refer to the clothing labels before washing.

Hot Water washing is usually bad for all fabrics.

Whiteners are preferable to bleach. Bleach can damage some fabrics, especially silks.

Lined garments are better to be dry-cleaned as this prevents the lining from shrinking and pulling the design up.

Soaking or leaving wet garments in a washing machine will usually cause some coloured fabrics and prints or trims like ribbons and leather to bleed colour.

Hand washing is good but you must not leave items soaking, wring them tightly or rub fabrics together. Gently squeeze the garments and then dry flat on a towels.
